• What is Pasolini for me

September 21, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm Free 2022 marks the centenary of the birth of the great Italian intellectual Pier Paolo Pasolini, and to celebrate this important anniversary all the main Italian cultural bodies present in NSW decided to join forces to organise an event designed for a wide audience, to offer an insight into a controversial and somewhat problematic character. Pasolini’s intellectual depth and international relevance is well known in Italy and abroad, but probably less known among second generation Italians. The event, which is the result of the collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute, the Dante Alighieri Society Sydney, Co.As.It., Comites NSW and the Niawa and GIA associations, wants to provide an opportunity to meet and discuss the subject in an informal context, giving the opportunity to those who wish to do so to share what they experienced while reading this author. The event will be held in English in order to allow second and third generation Italians, as well as the broader Australian public, to follow the presentations and participate in the Q&A that will follow the speeches. The Consul General of Italy, Andrea De Felip, will give a brief welcome speech. Click or tap HERE to see more details and download your FREE ticket. The symposium will be held at the Italian Forum Cultural Centre. See you there!
