Bio
Francesca was born in Rome and raised in Nerola, in the Sabina hills just outside the city. She has called Sydney home since 2006, when she began teaching Italian at Mosman Community College and joined the Dante Alighieri Society, a connection she has cherished ever since.
Francesca holds a Bachelor of Communication and Journalism from La Sapienza University in Rome and a Master of Learning Science and Technology (with Merit) from the University of Sydney, and has completed several professional development courses for Italian teachers. She has taught Italian across all levels (from absolute beginners to advanced) in individual, small group and classroom settings, and has prepared students for HSC, PLIDA and CELI examinations.
What Francesca loves most about teaching is creating learning experiences that feel genuinely tailored, whether a student's goal is business Italian, travel conversation or cultural connection. Her background in learning design and technology means her lessons are thoughtfully structured and engaging, drawing on a wide range of approaches to suit each learner's style and pace.
Beyond the classroom, Francesca works as a program and operations leader across higher education and research, and is passionate about the role of language and storytelling in bringing people and communities together.
