Elena Palmitessa

Tutor

Bio

Born and raised in Italy between Bergamo and Milano, Elena is a qualified Italian teacher based in Sydney. She completed her teaching degree in Italy and undertook further studies at Charles Sturt University. She has been teaching in schools since 2002 and has taught Italian in Australia since 2010.

Elena specialises in integrating cultural learning with a practical and communicative language approach, enabling students to use Italian confidently in real-life contexts. Her teaching focuses on creating a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment in which students can progressively develop their linguistic skills while deepening their understanding of Italian culture.

 

With extensive experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds and across a range of proficiency levels, Elena has developed a dynamic and interactive teaching style that incorporates conversation, authentic materials, and meaningful activities to support each learner’s progress. She is passionate about travel and enjoys bringing her cultural experiences into the classroom to enrich her students’ learning journey.
