Textbook: The course may use Viaggiamo in Italia (Alma Edizioni, A1 level), supplemented by slides and additional materials to enrich the learning experience. This 10-hour course (5 sessions of 2 hours each) is designed for travellers who want to enhance their Italian communication skills for practical situations. The focus is on speaking and interaction rather than traditional grammar. While some essential grammar points may be explained, the course prioritizes real-life communication to help students navigate Italy confidently. By the end of the course, participants will be able to: - Make purchases - Book accommodation or services - Express preferences - Ask for directions - Request practical information and assistance Course Format Each session includes two parts: 1) The first hour is dedicated to key vocabulary and phrases for travel-related scenarios, reinforced through interactive exercises. 2) The second hour explores unique travel itineraries across different Italian regions, offering insights beyond the usual tourist routes. Students will also learn about cultural differences between Italy and Australia and receive practical tips for a smooth and enjoyable travel experience— whether taking a luxury train or exploring budget-friendly options.
